I believe that's some kind of boat. I was going to say sailboat, but I don't see a mast in the middle.
I have from time to time scared myself. Even at the height of my powers, I was not in good health. But a furious metabolism preserves my physique, and I am considered a tribute to evil living. - Thomas McGuane, Panama

It's quite common in London as it's cheaper than land based property and there are moorings on canals. I've been to house parties on them.Gary wrote:Ya gotta watch more Brit TV. Canal boats play heavily into murder mysteries, etc. You'd think a significant portion of the population lived there.

Unfortunately many of the moorings on the Thames have been bought up by property companies which have raised the rental costs beyond the ability of the boat owners to afford.David Williamson wrote:It's quite common in London as it's cheaper than land based property and there are moorings on canals. Wash out.
You've got to watch the tide, on the Thames too. I know one guy, living on a boat, who parked his car by the boat (ignoring the warning signs) and when the tide came in, the boat rose up but his car did not.
