Sigh, posted in the wrong thread: - Leaving this as an on-topic placeholder till I find something more interesting to put in it's place.

I believe that an invite has gone out to Dennis to do at least on of his many presentations at the Lumby Air Races.

He did, for sure, get a "Heads Up" re setting aside time for it. Not my call: different club. Randy Rauck is the LAF/ Info below.

Dennis longs to come back here. (Vernon & North Okanagan BC region) He was here for at least one Canadian Nats in the very early 1970's 1995 for sure. 95 or 97 as well. Can't recall.
I Just recently got an email from him sayings so, which is what triggered the idea of forwarding it to the LAF.

I am very, very interested in the XC Contest http://www.xcontest.org/world/en/ and their AAT XContest; and in particular their brand new concept:
X-Camp - again little at their site yet: http://www.xcontest.org/xcamp/

Re this very interesting Free Fly-In / Competition X-Camp concept with XContest software running the meet. Apparently at no cost. :shock: or Scoring Team needed for the meet. :shock: :D

I believe the very first one ever (A Free Event) is running now in Manilla. 75 entrants: (out of 250 In Oz entered already in the year long challenge.) :shock:
- GPS logging in to the event results page at: http://www.xcontest.org/australia/

From: http://www.xcontest.org/world/en/

The Dutch cylinder race

Are you club, group of pilots, nation and would you like to organize simple tasks from more flying sites in one day?

XContest now offer to use an interface for rounds (tasks) and competition from different flying sites where you can set basic parameters:

* create a new round
* name and date of round
* straight distance or out and return
* radius of take-off cylinder
* radius of goal cylinder
* which sites will be used for each round

Fred,

The Ozreport, as I recall, receives updates straight from the horses mouth on such things as the TTT challenge and other events. Just watch the Ozreport headlines and it will inform all readers. You won't miss much. The TTT is on top of advertising this event every year.
