Rain, Rain, Rain. If this keeps up we will hold a swimming competition next week-end April 13. Sport Class can use water wings, open with or without speed sleeves. and unlimited can use enclosed kayaks. If the rain stops, we will stay with the hang gliding format At this time we have no one signed up in the Swift class.

Two great days of flying finally. The first two days of flying in the Puerto Rican Nationals went very well. Saturday the wind was almost straight in with some gust to 23 mph. This is not unusual for Cubuy. The thermals were a little broken at launch but the ridge lift allowed for multiple attempts to get high. Out on course the conditions were lighter and smoother as well. All the competitors who flew got out on course, almost everyone got over half way to goal. Sunday was even better with six pilots at goal and one just .42K short. A tree line was the only thing to keep him short. The flying here is great and the pilots are extremely welcoming. The best thing about PR is that it is usually good December through September. With January and February much more consistent than anywhere else that doesn't require a passport. More competition next weekend.
