In order to pursue world FAI/CIVL recognized/administered records and or compete in FAI/CIVL world contests you are supposed to be a member of your national Aero club (which typically, in turn, pays for membership in the FAI/CIVL).
If your country of origin does not have an Aero club (or that Aero is not in good standings with the FAI/CVIL club) or your national club is not a member of the national Aero Club…or … if you simply do not want to join your national association (for what ever reason imaginable…) is there a way to buy a membership in the FAI/CIVL as an individual? Does the FAIL/CIVL accept direct members? Is it possible to pursue FAI/CIVL records or compete in FAI /CIVL events as an individual with out a nations affiliation or membership? Are there any examples of this happening?
