At 1:48 this pilot is shown on a launchdolly with the bridle passing under the speedbar.
Is it an error or is there a solid reason?

It is probably a tow from a winch. Note, that this is not the same site as the aero tow a few seconds earlier.

Actually it's the same site but different methods, aerotow and winch.

Okay... I've never been aware that launch dollies were being used for winch towing as well.
Most winches accelerate fast enough so you don't have to take more then a couple of steps. But I suppose the advantage is your release can be behind the speedbar from start on.
