I suppose flying in the St.André area will be somewhat restricted in the near future because of the GermanWings Airbus that crashed earlier this week on the slopes of the Tête de l'Estrop, which is right along the route from St.André to Dormillouse, one of the most epic XC routes in France. As the crash site can not be reached by road, the search and gathering of the shattered debris will for the greater part be done by helicopters. I would expect that free flying in the area, and more specific around Tête de l'Estrop, might be prohibited for some time.
Probably local pilots have some information about flying restrictions.

For some reason the above message got lost into a parallel part of this forum, while in the real world Gordon Rigg reports more adequately about the flying restrictions around St.André-les-Alpes...
