Seed....
<i>New owners in Europe</i><br><p>Soren Ladegaard <<a href="http://ozreport.com/emailer.php?toName= ... <soren></a>> writes:</p><p class="BN">On the 1st of September 2013 the company was acquired by Michael Moeller when Manfred decided to retire after more than 30 years in the industry. The complete staff of co-workers are still with the company and the entire line of products and services continue.</p><p class="BN">Michael has been flying and designing hang gliders for 20 years and has a degree in aerodynamics. For years he made a living as a pilot for various airlines.</p><p class="BN">Once everything has settled with the takeover of the company the first thing on the list is to get the Skyrunner DHV certified. Furthermore two new hang glider designs are currently in the works.</p>

Seedwings in Europe
I flew several of the early Seedwing Sensors here in the US starting with the "A" model.
It had a keel pocket and fiberglass wand curved tips.
The "B" model was way ahead of it's time too.
It had the best sink rate around and was very good at flat turning too.
The tailfin was a real nice feature.
The VG worked great and it had good top speed for it's day.
I really liked the way it flat turned too.
Sometimes in rowdy air it was a hand full or abit stiff to turn.
It had a thick airfoil and the flare window timing was somewhat narrow.
And I once owned a special intermediate "E" model.
It was my favorite.

Insolvenz
The first battle in the awaited "war of survival" of hang gliding manufacturers has started:

Hopefully two or three reliable manufacturers will remain till the end of my HG flying carreer.
