This is what our Aussie airline carrier was saying 4 mths ago…

Qantas to cut at least 6,000 jobs as part of coronavirus recovery plans, Alan Joyce reveals

By business reporters Nassim Khadem, Michael Janda and Stephanie Chalmers
Posted Thursday 25 June 2020 at 8:59am, updated Thursday 25 June 2020 at 5:07pm

"Airline revenues have collapsed, entire fleets have been grounded. And the world's biggest carriers are taking extreme action just to survive."

Mr Joyce said the crisis had hit Qantas "very hard" and that "the impact will be felt for a long time".

He said international flights were unlikely to resume until July next year.

"The 6,000 jobs [going] are jobs that we don't see coming back for a long time," Mr Joyce said.

Qantas' fleet of 12 massive Airbus A380 aircraft that used to fly on long haul routes will be grounded for three years.

The aircraft are being stored in the Mojave desert in the United States, Mr Joyce said. because the dry conditions minimise corrosion.

Forget cherry picking to prove your political bias- The Corona virus just exposed the truth about America to the rest of us…

Can you really understand what must change in the USA?

Here in my opinion is the most honest and brutal description of a country run by giant corporations with over 300 million consumers ..

It's people like you who are contributing to these increased spikes. A sign of intelligence is the ability to examine prior positions, re-evaluate, and change to reflect updated knowledge.

Masks work.

Lock-downs are effective as last resorts when the health systems become catastrophically overwhelmed. Phased lock-downs work to lower the ability to have superspreader events at larger gatherings.

Anyways, keep displaying your ignorance, I suppose we won't have any competitions for another two to three years at this point.

Totally true --- but when Biden opens the gates to American borders , and 1.5 million
central americans come chagrin in Every Year , to get that Free medical and food stamps ;
USA will become a complete and total Dump, that's not worth living in.

USA is already in debt to the tune of $23.3 trillion ; so where is the money
to support an extra small city Every Year , gonna come from ?

I don't like Trump for Squat ; the alternative is Way worst !

I'm no great social scientist, but here in Oz nearly all immigrants want to work and provide for a better life for their family. Since my family were economic immigrants to Oz, 58yrs ago, I can see both sides. I do believe if new arrivals will assimilate into their new society that's a good thing. Sometimes it's the second generation that becomes most Austrayanised.Their are many links to "prove" whatever views people have on immigration and here is a just the facts one..

Pandemic through 2021?

Or more for the USA, short term immunity and the anti-vaxers could keep it going for more than that.

Work will set you free, right Billie?

Haven't seen you bitchin' about Trump adding 4 trillion to that debt. Wonder what will change in 2021 when you complain about it again?

Haven't seen you complaining about Trump getting free medical care at Walter Reed. Why you complaining about immigrants getting it? Trump's wife is an immigrant getting free medical care for her Covid. Why ain't you complaining about that?

Here's an idea, we can tax the billionaires who gained an extra trillion in worth over the past 6 months to pay some of those small cities' employees wages and help out the small folks in the meantime. You didn't have a problem with Trump paying the farmers, so I expect you shouldn't have a problem with paying the folks who keep the streets clean.

Well, Bille, it looks like Nevada’s is going to be final state to determine the outcome of the election.

The future is in your hands.

As of Nov. 4, 2020 (The Day After) at 8:30pm, Nevada is the closest race with 75% reporting and only a difference of 7,847 votes.

They say the Nevada tally will be updated the morning of November 5th.

I checked my ballot status on the Nevada Secretary of State website today.

The website shows they received my ballot but have not counted my vote.

I dropped off my completed ballot at the Desert Breeze polling station on October 23, 2020.

Waiting to be counted.
