California: simultaneously applies for Federal Disaster Relief for drought and for flooding. Amazing.

It's a big state and grossly mismanaged.

They also declared war on America by vowing to dislodge
our lawful federal gov.

It's the same strategy they teach to illegal aliens, apply for all the free
money you can to bankrupt the system.

It's also a clear example of how inept they really are by pillaging the CA residents
for taxes yet not addressing this issue in the last twelve years they were warned about
this spillway failing!

Deny them the money and let the residents of CA sue the hell out of them for property loss!

If they want CalExit then start now!!

Sanctuary State, really, bunch of morons, just pathetic…

Nobody expected the state to exit the drought in one year but the rains we've received have been most welcome, especially in Southern California. The Sierras are at 150% of normal snowfall which is nice. We just need a few more years of normal rainfall...

I heard someone recently say that California wouldn't have a water problem if they would have built more dams and man-made lakes. It was probably easier to get those dams built back before all the environmental regulations became so difficult to satisfy. Hindsight is 20:20

2 issues,

1st mismanagement of water resources because of a bait fish which is not even
native to CA. They keep the flow high out to sea, starving agriculture and then they
ran completely out of water killing the fish anyway?ðÿ¤·ðÿ»â€â™‚️

2nd Lack of will to push through all the water projects planned 40 years ago, $money
and environmentalists making noise.

CA lead the world in water mgt in the 1950's and 60's then came the hippie tree huggers
who are clueless.

It's just like Standing Rock Dakota Access Pipeline.

https://daplpipelinefacts.com

Pipline is not on Resevation.

5 other pipelines and high voltage cable go under same river valley all in same area.

Pipe lines are by far safest method of moving oil, 5 times safer than Rail.
Ships are 3rd safest method, then trucks are least safest.

Misinformation is big problem because Warren Buffet owns the rail lines shipping oil.
He wants to continue running it..

https://news.vice.com/article/warren-bu ... explosions

This is exactly what happened in CA because of special interests using the useful idiots.

Same old story same players, no drought and no,problem with oil pipelines.

Thanks.
I was not very familiar with that state's history, but it seemed odd to hear that their leaders didn't know enough to build the needed dams.
It is well known that dams are very beneficial to modern society. The dam's turbines can add energy to the electric grid while the lake water serves as an energy storage device. The natural uneven flows can also be managed after a dam is in place.
Hopefully the CA leadership will wake up and wise up.

Desalinization plants

Post by Darkcloud »

I'm thinking that regardless of the expense involved, desalinization plants should be a part of the California infrastructure. It's only too expensive until you really need it but don't have it.
