Out of curiosity went outside to check what kind of meter I had. Lo and behold, 'twas a smart meter!!! Got aluminum mesh screen at Home Depot and stuffed it between the house + the meter. Thanks, Swift!

If you want to do a hang check, don't let someone talk you out of it, its your life and safety, even if you just did one and feel you need another, there should never be anything wrong with you being safe. Personally I would never mind waiting while someone performs any safety check we all love to ...

Good idea, Brad. Will always ask for a hang check now. But. After hang checking - that means remaining hooked in after the check right? 1 - nervous about staying hooked in while waiting in line. 2 - many pilots get cranky when anyone does a hang check on launch. Jáco - Keeping ...

I have 9 years flying with a cocoon and have never had a harness string catch. But I have managed to get one under my backstrap!
Hi MikeB,

Thank you for the tape tip! Will give it a try. :)

Cocoon query

Had a cocoon harness string catch on the leg loop buckle at the end of the launch run + remain there for the entire flight/landing = $75 for a new downtube :( How can you prevent the strings from getting caught in the leg loop buckles? Still willing to give the coon another chance but considering sw...

Re: Girls, Groins and Google ads…

But some of our members don't want them there, like if they're connecting from work. The purpose of the "decorations" down there is to be a little reward for making it all the way to the bottom of a page. Notice how they're strategically positioned on either side of the ads? To look at th...

Certainly not if you're trying to straighten a downtube. Be careful. Sometimes worth replacing for peace of mind.

Ach. That seems to be the consensus. Will start a wind chime. Thank you for the advice.

Warmly,
Janica

Glider developed a breast

Fledgling Falcon 3 reaching puberty + developed a wee curve in the left downtube. Came in for landing, about to flare then gust popped me up. Pulled in on instinct, then got nervous and flared too early before all gust-energy bled off, resulting in a mega-whack. No frosting or kinking. Curvature mat...
