5-15/21 Spangle WA to Othello WA -Wills Wing T3 - 4K

Been a long time since I've towed a flex. I said 2 years in the vid it was actually in 2015! Wow its been awhile. Really great day. First thermal was amazing. Really cold temps aloft. Suffered through it. Had a really fun time. https://ayvri.com/scene/eyj80mx25g/ckp05xehu00023b6ivzi9w6mh https://www...

Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it. Ended up being my best flight of the season (it was a terrible season around here)

5-2/21 Tekoa WA to Grangeville ID - ATOS VQR (103 scenic miles :-) 4K

A flight I have been wanting to do for a while now. It's not often conditions cooperate to head to the S from Tekoa. No one has done this route before. (Well, I made it to Lewiston last year ;-) I was on my way to sinking out after launching. Had a low(ish) save to keep the flight going. (so glad I ...

Fun flight. Thought I was landing at the Athol airport but caught a climb to keep the flight going.

Windy start that had very good conditions. Cloud cover came in and really softened conditions. A ugly sky was coming from the N. I opted to land before I met it. Glad I did. Glider was on the car about the time some outflow wind arrived. Barely out ran the rain on the drive home. http://www.youtube....

Great day that had some of the coldest temps to fly in. All my layers were not enough.
Toughed it out as long as I could. Then it was not fun anymore :-(

Dancing with Eagles / 3-20/21 (first flight of the year)

After 7 or more attempts this year, finally got a flight in. Drove and 1 hr S of home, sat at that site for 2+ hrs. Gave up and drove 2+ hours to Inklers.
Well worth it! Got the privilege to fly with some curious and playful eagles.

Flying with Wolfi (day 1) 8-22/20 Chelan to Creston

Got a chance to do some XC with Wolfgang Siess on his summer tour. Tough getting up at the butte. I got low near Mansfield and lost Wolfi and Aaron. Thought they crossed and I would catch them on the other side. Turns out they turned at Sims and headed back for an out and return. I was hoping to fly...
